SUMMARY:2020 Water Tower Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 31st Annual Water Tower Festival was originally scheduled for June 25-28\, 2020. The Pipestone Area Chamber of Commerce postponed our annual community celebration to mid-August in the sincere hope that our State would have progressed farther through the Stay Safe MN phases. However\, since June 10th we have remained in Phase III and unfortunately large public gatherings over 250 people are still prohibited. This constraint is prohibiting all but two in-person events on Saturday\, August 15th: 1) the Pipestone Cruizers' Car Show and 2) a Chamber Fundraiser Drive-Thru Lunch sponsored by Pipestone Veterinary Services\, Pipestone Development Corporation\, Bomgaars\, Hank's Foods\, Coborn's\, and Pepsi.\n\n \n\nThursday's Kids Night\, Friday Night's Block Party (and Street Dance)\, Saturday's Annual Parade\, and the Arts & Crafts Show will unfortunately not be held this year under the current state restrictions.\n\n \n\nGiven these state restrictions\, we've brainstormed some fun family entertainment options which can be done "on your own" schedule outside to avoid creating a large gathering. We have prizes for these events from gift certificates purchased through the Loyal Local T-Shirt Fundraiser held earlier this summer as well as some donations.\n\n \n\nThese "on your own" outdoor family events will include the following:\n\n1.) Water Tower Medallion Hunt ***UPDATE - MEDALLION HAS BEEN FOUND***\n\n***After 4 full days of searching\, the 2020 Water Tower Medallion has been found on the bottom of the black fence just to the left of where Santa's Shed sits on the NE corner of Hiawatha Ave and Main Street!!! Congratulations to brothers from Sioux Center\, Iowa ~ Tyler Rozenboom (age 14) and Mason Rozenboom (age 10) ~ and their Grandma Wil Kas of Pipestone on finding the coveted Medallion and winning $100 in Pipestone Area Chamber Checks!
