SUMMARY:Building Welcoming Workplaces: SW MN Workforce Cohort
DESCRIPTION:The SW MN Workforce Cohorts are designed to help employers in Southwest Minnesota to attract and retain a diverse workforce needed now and in the future.  Cohort peers will be focused on developing and sharing best practices for employee retention and overall growth of SW MN. \n\n\n\nSessions will be led by Whitney Harvey\, Sr. Director of Workforce Diversity and Inclusion\, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Foundation and will include additional guest speakers at each session.\n\n\n\nRegister by Friday\, November 8\, 2024 (registrations are being processed through the Marshall Chamber).\n\n\n\nSession Dates:\n\n	Wednesday\, November 13\n	Wednesday\, December 18\n	Wednesday\, January 15\n	Wednesday\, February 19\n	Wednesday\, March 19 (in person)\n\n\n\nThis cohort is FREE for employers to attend! (training valued at $525)\, courtesy of the MN DEED "Drive for 5" funding.\n\n\n\nThe FAQs about SW MN Workforce Cohorts:\n\n\n	Employers will create strategies for growth and an inclusive workforce action plan for their workplace as part of the training.\n	Training will include baseline assessments that will help employers identify opportunities\, and recruitment\, and retention tools to lay the foundation for success.\n	Business representative required to attend all 5\, 2-hr sessions.\n	\n		4 virtual sessions. 5th session in person.\n	\n	\n	All attendees will receive a certificate upon completion\, and each business will be celebrated as a graduate of the training in our marketing materials and press release.
