DESCRIPTION:Public Lands Day at Pipestone National Monument\n\n \n\nPIPESTONE\, Minn.   Calling all volunteers: Pipestone National Monument Needs Your Help on National Public Lands Day!\n\n \n\nOn Saturday\, September 26th\, volunteers can get out in the tallgrass prairie with park rangers from 9:00am   12:00pm to help take care of this important cultural site!\n\n \n\nVolunteers can choose between collecting native seeds that we will replant next year or removing invasive species that crowd out the native plants. No experience needed   we'll provide the tools and training. Just bring sturdy shoes and dress in layers for the weather. We will have gloves available\, but feel free to bring your own as well.\n\n \n\nVolunteers will receive a complimentary lunch at 11:30am.\n\n \n\nPlease RSVP so we know how much food to order by either calling 507-825-5464 or emailing pipe_interpretation@nps.gov\n\n\n\nEXPERIENCE YOUR AMERICA \n\nThe National Park Service cares for special places saved by the American people so that all may experience our heritage.\n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the public.
