SUMMARY:Pipestone Ambulance Association DRIVE-THRU Annual Chili & Soup Feed
DESCRIPTION:Equipment Fundraiser\n\n\n\nThe Pipestone Ambulance Association will be holding our 33rd annual Chili Feed Fundraiser on Saturday\, March 4th\, 2023. The 2023 Chili Feed will be held in DRIVE-THRU form at the Pipestone County Emergency Services Building located at 811 5th St SE in Pipestone\, MN. Please look for signs & line up facing South on 9th Ave SE.\n\n \n\nThe drive-thru supper will be held from 4:00 PM 7:00 PM. Our menu will feature our great award-winning chili (mild or hot)\, amazing chicken noodle soup\, grilled ham & cheese sandwiches\, & dessert. Quarts of Chili & Soup will also be available to purchase for $5 each (preorders appreciated).\n\n \n\nDelivery within Pipestone City limits WILL be available from 4-5pm\, but we ask that you call us at 507-825-1170 before 5pm on March 3rd to place a delivery order.\n\n \n\nOur project for 2023 is purchasing three new Stryker Stair-PRO stair chairs to replace our three aging stair chairs & three new pulse oximeters to replace the old ones that are in each ambulance. The Stryker Stair-PRO is a piece of equipment utilized in safely moving patients out of small spaces (hallways\, bathrooms\, sharp corners\, etc.) & down stairs. It has a "stair tread" system to allow for controlled descent of stairs\, making it far safer for both patients & the attending EMS personnel\, reducing lifting & back strain. The pulse oximeters needing replacement are used on nearly every patient to measure the pulse rate & oxygen level of the blood\, which the EMS personnel then use to help determine prompt treatment.\n\n \n\nOur local United Way of Pipestone County continuously supports us and has kindly allocated $500 towards our 2023 project goal. Casey's General Stores Charitable Giving has also generously donated $1\,000 towards this goal.\n\n \n\nWe are requesting a donation of $10/ticket and hope that you will swing through for some GREAT food! Even if you cannot attend please consider sending a donation to help us raise the needed funds. A free-will donation would be appreciated for children and additional meals. The Pipestone Ambulance Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization & your donation may be tax-deductible. \n\n \n\nIf you received a donation envelope in the mail\, please return your donation and the completed name stubs in the enclosed envelope before March 1st\, 2023. Your kind donation will enter you in a drawing for first aid kit door prizes. You need not be present to win\, however\, please bring your tickets for admittance to the drive-thru feed. The inclement weather reschedule date will be March 11th. Please listen to KLOH/KISD radio and check the Pipestone County Ambulance Facebook page for information.\n\n\n\nPlease help us reach our goal of $16\,000 for the purchase of the needed equipment for our 27-volunteer member squad & our community.\n\n \n\nTHANK YOU for your continued support!! It is greatly appreciated.\n\n.
