DESCRIPTION:Salem Cemetery Tour Scheduled\n\nThe Salem Church Cemetery was started in 1886.  Located in Sweet Township near the South Dakota border this tour will visit the gravesites of some of the people who worshiped in the Salem Church and farmed the land nearby.  Still active today\, a brief history of the church will also be shared.\n\n\n\nThe tour will be held Saturday\, August 29th beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Cost of the tour is $3.00 for adults\; children 12 and under are free.  Directions to the church and cemetery are:  5 miles west of Pipestone on Highway 30\, 4 miles south on County Road 13\, 1 mile west on 61st street (gravel). \n\n\n\nTickets can be purchased at the Pipestone County Museum in advance or at the cemetery on the day of the tour.  All COVID-19 social distancing guidelines will be followed. Bring your mask.\n\n\n\nThe Pipestone County Museum is located at 113 S. Hiawatha Avenue in Pipestone\, MN.
