DESCRIPTION:Pipestone\, MN   The Pipestone Performing Arts Center\, in partnership with the Pipestone County Historical Society and Pipestone Area Schools Community Education\, invites the public to a special cultural presentation\, "Tipi Daze\," on Thursday\, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.\n\n \n\nPresented by educator and cultural historian Jim Two Crows Wallen\, "Tipi Daze" offers an engaging and respectful exploration of Native American history\, culture\, and storytelling. During the day\, Two Crows will also work with Pipestone Area Schools students\, bringing this important educational experience directly to the students of our community.\n\n \n\nThrough the use of authentic artifacts\, including traditional games\, tools\, and clothing\, Two Crows creates an immersive experience that brings history to life. His presentation focuses on the rich diversity of Indigenous nations and highlights how stories and traditions have been preserved across generations.\n\n \n\nAudiences can expect a powerful and interactive evening as Two Crows shares myths\, legends\, and historical insights from the time of westward expansion\, while thoughtfully addressing common misconceptions and encouraging deeper understanding.\n\n \n\n"Tipi Daze" is made possible through a generous grant from Prairieland Library Exchange.\n\n \n\nThe Pipestone Performing Arts Center is located at 104 Main Street East in Pipestone. Guests may park in the free lots surrounding the theatre\, including the First Farmers & Merchants Bank parking lot and the City parking lot behind the Historic Calumet Inn Hotel. The Box Office\, located in the PPAC lobby\, is where guests can check in\, use restrooms\, and be guided to their seats before the presentation.\n\nNo tickets are required for this free event.
