"The American Flag, History, Symbolism, & Meaning" by Dr. Anita Gaul
The Pipestone County Historical Society, in collaboration with Pipestone Area Schools, and community partner, the Pipestone Performing Arts Center invites the public to join us for a FREE presentation about the history of the American flag presented by Dr. Anita Gual who is a history professor at Minnesota West Community and Technical. The presentation will take place on Thursday, October 1st beginning at 7:00 pm at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center. The presentation is being hosted in conjunction with the traveling exhibit ?Symbol of Freedom,? that is being hosted for public viewing at the Pipestone County Museum in September and October to celebrate our Nation?s 250th anniversary. Both the exhibit and this presentation are possible through a Better Together grant funded by Prairielands Library Exchange. The Museum is located at 113 S. Hiawatha Avenue in Pipestone. HPI Used Book Sale
Historic Pipestone Inc. (HPI) holds their monthly used book sale fundraiser on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 am - approximately Noon. The sale features books in both hardcover and paperback, ranging over a variety of subjects in both fiction and nonfiction. All such books are donated by members of the community.
Pipestone Sportsmen's Club Open House

Transit Authority: The Premier Tribute Band to the Music of Chicago

Historic Pipestone, Inc. will hold a Pet Blessing event on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 5- 7 p.m. This event will take place in front of the Historic St. Paul Episcopal Church in Pipestone. The church is located at 221 4th Street SE. The public is invited to drive through and have their pet blessed by Pastor Velda Maine for a FREE WILL donation. This event is being cosponsored by Sassy Cakes and Bomgaars. There will be pup cakes available for sampling and purchase. Proceeds from this event will support Historic Pipestone Inc. 7th Annual Lights at the Lodge
Experience the beauty of winter at the Hiawatha Pageant Park in Pipestone! The 7th Annual Lights at the Lodge lighting is Saturday, November 21, 2026 at the Hiawatha Pageant Park, official lighting at 6:00 pm. After the official lighting, the lights will be on every night through January 3, 2027. Following the opening night, visitors will be able to drive through the park exiting through the north gate, or can park and walk through the lighted sites throughout the holiday season.
