Our old-fashioned county fair is annually a top event in the county. Bring your kids to the children's barn to see and pet baby animals! Bring your appetite for unique food offerings each night! 4-H, FFA, and open class exhibitors share livestock, exhibits, and art with the public. HPI Used Book Sale
Historic Pipestone Inc. (HPI) holds their monthly used book sale fundraiser on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 am - approximately Noon. The sale features books in both hardcover and paperback, ranging over a variety of subjects in both fiction and nonfiction. All such books are donated by members of the community.
AMP: Aladdin Kids
Disney's Aladdin is a beloved, popular story; when the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie's magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more are here in Disney?s Aladdin KIDS, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love. ?Public performances of Aladdin will take place at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center on Sunday, August 3rd. There will be a matinee performance at 2:00 p.m., and an afternoon performance at 5:00 p.m. Each performance is approximately a half hour in length.

Thursday, August 7, 2025, 5:00 - 7:30 PM (Location - Hatfield Roadhouse): Chamber Car Cruise-In Join the Pipestone Area Chamber of Commerce and the Pipestone Cruizers for Live Music (''Southern Detour'') for the second Chamber Car Cruise-In of Summer! Kids Fishing Derby & Community Dinner
The entire community is invited to the 8th Annual Kids Fishing Derby & Community Meal on Wednesday, August 13th at beautiful Hiawatha Pageant Park (rain date: Thurs, 8/14 - same times). All ages are welcome to the Community Burger/Hot Dog Feed (while they last!) and Water Slides. Kids ages 15 and under can dip their lines in the ol' quarry pond while competing for trophies and prizes given for first fish caught and more. Fishers are welcome to use their own worms, but we will be providing worms.

Tall Cop Says STOP
Coming this Fall, we will be welcoming Jermaine Galloway, also known as Tall Cop. Officer Galloway has worked in substance abuse prevention and education for over 20 years. After playing Division I basketball and receiving his BA in Sociology, he worked as a law enforcement officer for 18 years. This educational event will provide parents and community members the ability, knowledge and confidence to help prevent and quickly identify alcohol and/or drug use and abuse indicators of possible at-risk individuals, through products, stash compartments, clothing brands, lingo, music lyrics, etc. Attendees will learn to identify concealment methods for alcohol and drugs in the home, classroom and workplace, including vaping. This is a FREE event for Adults (18+). Mark your calendars! This event will be taking place in Pipestone on Sept. 30th at 6:15 pm.
