"Written in Stone" Cemetery Tours
The Pipestone County Historical Society will be hosting a series of cemetery walking tours throughout the summer of 2026. Tours will be held on the second Saturday of each month, June through September. All tours will begin at 2:00 p.m. and each tour will include stories of Pipestone County pioneers, Pipestone County veterans, and the meaning behind the symbolism found on some of the gravestones. The cost of each tour is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for members of the Historical Society, and free for children 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Pipestone County Museum or at the Cemetery on the day of the event.

Writer's Retreat
Join us for a Writer's Retreat at Meinders Community Library! Writers of all kinds welcome - whether you're working on a litter, journaling prompts, or the next American novel. Day will include dedicated time to work on projects as well as other writing activities. Library doors will lock at 2 pm, so please arrive prior for this drop-in event.
United Way Grant Deadline
2026 United Way of Pipestone County Applications now available. Due the day before Thanksgiving. Your request MUST be received by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. Applications may be dropped off at First Bank & Trust, First Farmers & Merchants, First State Bank SW, or the Pipestone Area Chamber of Commerce.

Santa Visits Pipestone!
Join us for this FUN, FREE event for the whole family! Visit with Santa inside the City's Municipal Building (119 2nd Ave SW), and take a photo with them too! Don't forget to bring your letters! Each kid will get to select their very own book as a special gift! 4-H Ambassador Elves will also have several free, fun, Holiday Make-and-Take activities for kids!
