$25,000 Donation Made to Pipestone Area Community Foundation

The Pipestone Area Community Foundation (PACF) recently received a donation of $25,000 from the estate of Patricia Schuster. Pat was born Patricia Gillin in 1925 and graduated from Pipestone High School before moving to Minneapolis during World War II. She maintained her ties to the area and often returned to visit her sister Kay Wilson and other friends in the community.

Pat developed a love of horses from an early age and kept to her roots in Edina where she and her husband Gordon raised horses, sheep, ducks, geese, and had large vegetable gardens providing a farm life for the entire family.

The Patricia Schuster Family Memorial Endowment Fund will be advised by the Pipestone Area Community Foundation and used to support a variety of needs and opportunities in the Pipestone Area.

The Pipestone Area Community Foundation is organized as an affiliate of the Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF) and is a vehicle for donors who wish to make a charitable contributions for the benefit of the community. To learn more about the PACF, visit:  pipestonefoundation.com
