Civil War Soldier – A Living History
Wondering what life was like for a Civil War soldier? Come find out! Civil War re-enactor Bill Hoskins, of the Siouxland Heritage Museum, will visit Pipestone on August 1st at 10:00 a.m. to describe the equipment, clothing, and life of a Civil War soldier. He will talk about the service of a soldier in the Union Army during the Civil War and/or his service with the Army on the Dakota Frontier in the mid-1860s. Due to COVID-19 this event will be held at the picnic shelter at Moore Park located on North Hiawatha Avenue. There will be limited seating, please bring a chair or blanket and plan to social distance. Bring a mask! Cost of this event is $3.00 per adult; children 12 and under are free.
