THE PIPESTONE COUNTY HSITORICAL SOCIETY TO HOST FUNDRAISER TO CONTINUE RENOVATION WORK ON THE FERRIS GRAND BUILDING
The Pipestone County Historical Society will host a Ladies Tea Luncheon on Saturday, May 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the masonic lodge room of the Ferris Grand building. The Ferris Grand is located at 106 East Main Street in Pipestone, the event is on the second floor.
A light luncheon of finger sandwiches and sweet treats will be served along with traditional tea and punch. Kevin Gansz, Curator of Education at the Siouxland Heritage Museums, will give a presentation on the history of tea and tea drinking, different types of tea, and some of the health benefits. He will discuss some of the Victorian etiquette behind tea drinking and show some of the different types of tea and serving pieces.
