MARCH COFFEE TALK: Diphtheria Epidemic of 1883
The public is invited to join the Pipestone County Historical Society for its February Coffee Talk on Thursday, March 21st when Museum Educator, Trava Olivier shares the story of the Diphtheria epidemic of 1883 that struck Pipestone County. The disease was the cause of over thirty percent of the deaths recorded in the county that year. Come hear about the disease and the families who were affected by it.
Coffee Talks are FREE for all members of the public to attend. If you are unable to attend in person, the presentation will be recorded and shared on the Museum's YouTube channel. The link to the video will be on the Pipestone County Museum's website as soon as it is available.
Coffee Talks are held the third Thursday of each month. Complimentary coffee and treats are served beginning at 9:45 a.m. Presentations begin at 10:00.
