Wildlife Detectives
Join us for a youth program with Blue Mounds State Park Naturalist Tiffany Muellner. Learn how to investigate the signs that animals leave behind in nature and use these clues to figure out which animals are in the area. This program is free and great for elementary-aged kids.
The Skally Line
The Skally Line is coming to Meinders Community Library! Join us on Tuesday, April 11th at 7:00pm for an evening of foot-stomping, old-time string band music. The Skally Line will bring stories of early Minnesota to life with original music full of rip-roaring energy and passion.

Spring Star Gazing
Pipestone National Monument's spring star gazing is Saturday, April 29th (rain date is May 6th)! 8:00pm - 8:30pm: Lakota Constellations with Gabe Yellowhawk in the visitor center 8:30pm - 10:00pm: Join astronomers Dr. Browning and Dr. Grau with their telescopes in front of the building. If you have a mirrorless camera or DSLR with a tripod, head out on the trail with Marty DeWitt to learn astrophotography! Feel free to also bring your own telescopes or binoculars and just hang out with other night sky enthusiasts. This event is free and open to the public along with the cider, cocoa, and snacks (while supplies last).

Senior Center's Belgian Waffle Fundraiser
Pipestone Senior Center is hosting their Dad's Belgian Waffle Brunch Fundraiser at St. Leo 's Catholic Church on Sunday, April 30th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. They will also have a Silent Auction. Self-Guided Easter Storytime
If you're entertaining little ones this weekend, stop by Meinders Community Library on Saturday, April 8th from 10am-2pm for Self-Guided Storytime. Our theme is Eggs and Things That Hatch and we'll have a curated stack of books for you to read while you're here, a list of suggested songs and activities (with egg shakers!), and a craft.
Raptors of MN
On May 27th at 1:00pm, the University of Minnesota's Raptor Center will bring a variety of birds of prey to the park. Visitors can see great horned owls, hawks, and a bald eagle up close and personal while learning about these amazing animals! Meet in the small parking lot behind the visitor center at 12:45pm with a lawn chair or a blanket to get your spot on time. **Please do not bring dogs to this event** Free and open to the public.
