About Us
The mission of Pheasants Forever is to conserve pheasants, quail, and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public access, education, and conservation advocacy.
Unique among national conservation organizations, chapters of Pheasants Forever retain 100 percent decision-making control over their locally-raised funds. This allows chapter volunteers to develop wildlife habitat projects and conduct youth conservation events in their communities, while belonging to a national organization with a voice regarding state and federal conservation policy.
Pipestone County is a great place to find an abundance of hunting activities. In fact, there are over 65,000+ acres of public hunting land in Southwest Minnesota.
The main hunting attraction is the pheasant which is native to the area and has enjoyed a population revival mostly due to the efforts of the Pipestone County Pheasants Forever chapter.
Pipestone County Pheasants Forever routinely ranks highly amongst 500 national chapters in the amount invested in habitat and population revitalization. These funds are raised primarily at the Annual Banquet Fundraiser held in the Spring.
Pipestone County Pheasants Forever also holds a Youth Mentor Hunt every October for the purpose of teaching them gun safety, hunting etiquette, and the importance of conservation and wildlife habitat.
