Our old-fashioned county fair is annually a top event in the county. Bring your kids to the children's barn to see and pet baby animals! Bring your appetite for unique food offerings each night! 4-H, FFA, and open class exhibitors share livestock, exhibits, and art with the public. There will be a midway featuring rides and games, displays and booths, as well as food and fun!

HPI Used Book Sale
Historic Pipestone Inc. (HPI) holds their monthly used book sale fundraiser on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 am - approximately Noon. The sale features books in both hardcover and paperback, ranging over a variety of subjects in both fiction and nonfiction. All such books are donated by members of the community.

Frozen Jr. Public Performances
Arts and Mentoring Project (AMP), offered a summer musical theater camp. Participants learned the foundations of musical theatre through acting workshops, fun arts activities, and music & choreography rehearsals all while creating a live theatrical production of Disney?s Frozen Jr. Performances are August 9, 10 & 11 at the beautiful Hiawatha Pageant Park; gates open at 8:00p and showtime starting at dusk (between 8:30pm & 9pm). Tickets will be available at the gate; adults $10 and $5 students. Parking will be in the grass lot above the Quarry Pond near the ticket booth. Concessions will be available. Restrooms on site. Please, bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the show. This local production of Disney's Frozen Jr. is Produced by Reggie Gorter, Directed by Jenn Sheldon, and Musically Directed by Samantha Davis. Many other artists, student interns and volunteers are behind the scenes that make this show possible. AMP's mission is to provide an arts experience dedicated to mentoring and performing. By welcoming all students we commit to guiding their character and artistic passion in a fun, disciplined environment advancing both the individual and the community. This activity is funded in part with a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board made possible by the voters of Minnesota, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
