English Paper Piercing 101
MUSEUM TO HOST ENGLISH PAPER PIECING 101 WORKSHOP English Paper Piecing is a hand sewing technique used in quilting. In this method of patchwork quilting, fabric is wrapped around shapes of heavy paper then hand sewn together to create a design. Once a shape has been made, the papers are removed, leaving the fabric patchwork ?square.? In this workshop, Instructor Laurie Ness will demonstrate the technique of English Paper Piecing. Guests will then have an opportunity to try it themselves while sewing a small wool table mat. All supplies needed to participate will be provided. This workshop will be held at the Pipestone County Museum (113 S. Hiawatha Ave., Pipestone) on Saturday, February 3rd beginning at 1:00 p.m. This class is limited to 12 participants.
